Fabric Bags

The days of the scorching sun came to an end,

The rain has started to tend,

We will need to blend,

To the climatic changes of the trend.

Wow!! At last, the cloudy days are here. Once again, welcome to my blog post of fabric bags.

The above one is a Jumbo bag consisting of 2 Main Zip compartments and 1 side zip.

I sewed a handbag with 1 Main Zip compartment. Inside the bag, we have 1 zip pocket and 1 slip pocket.

The above handbag and mobile pouch is also sewed from the same fabric as that of the jumbo bag.

And this one is a simple pouch.
The fabric is a very soft and shiny material bought from a shop in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan.

A sling bag and a key pouch from an embroidery cloth.

The key pouch

The Sling bag has 1 main zip and 1 zip on each side.

The Bucket Bag
The above 2 are handbags from printed cotton fabric. The bucket bag has 1 main zip, 1 zip and 1 flap pocket on the front side.

That's all for now, till then enjoy the new weather change. Bye.

All the above bags are of the same pattern.
This is a quilted sling bag with adjustable handles.

And above 2 are small shoulder bags.

Lastly two small pyramid pouches.
Will be back soon, Bye!!

My first hand sewn bag

It was raining full day here and the weather is very chill. We had white rice with rasam and egg omelet for lunch yesterday, it is a very good combination. Though it may not feel special, we can give it a try, once in a while.
Ok, now coming to my first bag, I started sewing bags in the year 2016. At that time, there was no sewing machine. I used to hand stitch the bags and purses.
This is my first hand sewn bag. The cloth is felt. I used a saree border for piping and the handle.
Seven years gone, but still the passion for stitching bags continues.

Hope you all can view the inside of the bag clearly. It has one main compartment, seperate pocket for mobile, a zip pocket & a small open pocket.

This image shows us the zip stitched between the flap and the main pocket of the bag.

A closer view of the small open pocket decorated with lace and blanket stitch embroidery.

I have used press buttons to attach the handles.

A closer look of the felt bag

I am stitching now an organizer made from scrap fabrics, which I will update soon.
By the time, I am uploading this blog, the rain has stopped but the weather is still chill. Bye.
