Scrap fabric organizer bag

Here is the scrap fabric organizer, I mentioned in my blog post of felt bag,

Top view

Years before, I stitched these 2 rectangle and 2 square blocks to be used as placemats, but never got a chance to finish it. 

Accidently it all came together now, as an organizer bag. 

For the above hour glass pattern, I followed this tutorial of Missouri Star in YouTube,

For the rectangle blocks, I followed my own pattern.

The inside view,

I used a saree pallu for the sides and fabric strips for the base. 

Later we added a drawstring closure to the bag.

Finished with a velcro flap closure.

Granny Square Blocks

I have been recently hooked to my crochet and completed some Granny Square Blocks. Here's some pics,

Initially, I was thinking of some other project in crochet, but this simple Classic Granny Square is very easy & addictive. I finished off 8 blocks till now & still more to complete in near future.

Aren't they cute?😀

I used a 6 mm hook, size 10

Purchased these set of hooks from size 4 to 10, but it's not available now in Amazon.

Very eager to see the end product of these blocks. Bye.

Michaung storm - Dec 3

Chennai has seen the worst of Michaung storm on Dec 3, 2023. It has been two weeks, but still many places in Chennai, are surrounded by water. Now it's raining heavily in south Tamil Nadu. Thiruchendur, Thirunelveli, Thoothukudi are very much affected.

A tree ( River Tamarind) in our neighbour ground fell off. Thank God, it didn't fall on our house otherwise we would be affected so much.

It fell off on the nearby ground.

The botanical name is Leucaena Leucocephala commonly called as 'wild tamarind'.

New Zip Purses / Pouches

Recently I finished 15 zip pouches and almost 4 cloth organizers.  

These are my finished projects. 

These are the zip pouches. 

I attached loops and woolen tassels to some of them. Some more pics here,  

I added card slots to the inside of the below shown purse, 

      

Used two different fabrics as outer for the below purse. Looks good either way.

  

Added a front pocket with flap to the above purse.

My projects include 2 pencil pouches.

This is boat shaped.

And the other one, normal zip pouch with base on one side. I used kids Shinchan kerchief.

Next is the cosmetic pouch,

Added a slip pocket inside.

And here comes the coin purse,
